my fourth Consecutive Solo Exhibition in Japan!

I’m delighted to share the highlights of my 2024 solo exhibition Laura Browning’s World at Ocean Day Gallery in Tokyo.

This show gathered a new body of paintings that continue my exploration of light dancing on water—glazes layered deep, subtle movement captured on canvas, and reflections that feel suspended in time. Exhibiting in Tokyo offers a rich context: a city of shifting light, quiet moments of water alongside structured urban lines, a place where surface and depth converse.

This exhibition was unique in that they also opened up commissions during the show, so guests were able to purchase originals, limited edition prints and also order painting to be custom made. It has been a joy to review the feedback from visitors and also to have new projects for Japanese clients now in the works.

It was an honour to bring my California-inspired vision to this setting and to share these quieter, luminous works with collectors, design professionals, and art-lovers in Japan.
